The Huddle Desks perform in most any classroom design layout. 22.5-degree angled sides allow these desks to be arranged individually or in groups up to eight. The eight-student circles are only 7' across. Other classroom design layout possibilities include semi-circles, pairs and groups of three.
The work surface consists of a 7/8" thick high pressure plastic laminate bonded to 45 pound particle board core with backer sheet. The edge of the work surface features a ¼" thick T-mold. This T-mold is stapled to the underside of the work surface every 10" and at corners. The frame consists of 2 corner post leg sets, each leg set consisting of (2) 1¼" square 14-gauge tube legs, (2) 1" square 14-gauge steel tube chrome inserts, (1) 1" square 14-gauge steel cross-bar with (1) 7/8" diameter 1½"h back pack peg, and a 14-gauge steel plate. Legs adjust on 1" intervals from 22" to 32" high. Leg sets are attached together at the rear with a 6" high 18-gauge steel panel. Legs have 1" adjusting leveling glides.
